MARCH for narrator and flexible ensemble explores the rhythms, dynamics and emotional landscapes of political marching at a time of upheaval and polarisation. The score is interactive, asking each player a question related to protests. This invites the players to make their own choices, with their response prompting which musical material they should then play. The resulting musical interpretation signifies a reflection of their actions, feelings, and views on themes ranging from violent resistance to ketchup.
